From competitive sport to brand - how it all began

Behind NOM Sportsfood is Mathias Nothegger, a former professional cyclist who knows exactly what is important in endurance sports - not only on the bike, but also off it. His own experience from competitive sport flows directly into the development of the products. He is supported by a small, specialised team based in Bregenz, Austria.

With the growing success of the online shop, however, the logistical requirements also increased. The growing demand - especially during intensive sales phases - posed increasing challenges for the team. It became increasingly difficult to process orders quickly, cleanly and reliably without causing internal bottlenecks. Warehousing and shipping within the EU in particular required more structure and capacity. At the same time, it was clear that in order to continue growing, a scalable solution was needed that could keep pace without overloading the team.

When logistics supports growth unchecked

In order to better manage the increasing logistical requirements, NOM Sportsfood outsourced shipping and fulfilment to Quivo. The connection to Shopify was also straightforward - the shop system had already proven to be stable and user-friendly, both for the team internally and for customers in the ordering process. The fact that Quivo could be seamlessly integrated with it was therefore a clear advantage.

This brings noticeable relief, especially in phases with high order volumes:

"Especially in the peak season, it was often stressful for us before to get everything out on time. Now we know: It just works - and reliably," says the team. Quivo's support team can also be contacted directly in the event of queries or if something doesn't work as planned and quickly finds a solution.

The cooperation also shows measurable results: The average delivery time within the EU has been reduced by around 30%. At the same time, the internal effort involved in order processing has been reduced by around half. For the team in Bregenz, this means more time for the essentials - product development, customer contact and the further expansion of the brand!

The NOM Sportsfood range is aimed specifically at endurance athletes - especially cyclists and runners who need reliable, functional support during training and competitions. The focus is clearly on effectiveness, quality and suitability for everyday use.

New paths, same values - looking ahead

NOM Sportsfood is currently working intensively on expanding its product range. New products are planned that will cater even more specifically to the needs of endurance athletes and close existing gaps in the market. The existing product line is also being continuously revised and further optimised.

Another focus is on international expansion - the range is to be made more easily available to customers outside Austria and Germany in future. The basic idea remains unchanged: high-quality, well thought-out products for everyday sporting activities.
