Ideas that change the world

Sustainable production is more complicated than simply ordering new materials. Right from the start, REFISHED had to find out where to source usable materials, how to realise environmentally friendly and fair production and what it takes to turn old sacks into functional, beautiful bags. Not everything worked out right away - some materials were more difficult to process than expected, the production processes had to be adapted and, of course, there was also the question of how to convince people to buy bags that were once something completely different.

Despite these challenges, the company has grown steadily. More and more people appreciate the idea of wearing fashion made from recycled materials that is not only sustainable but also practical. The fact that the bags are no longer only available online, but also at over 50 retailers, shows that the concept works. And the next step? To further optimise processes and show even more people that there are sustainable alternatives to traditional bag production.

Selling smart, growing sustainably

Selling online is not just about pretty pictures and a functioning website - there is a lot of organisation behind it, from stock management to order processing. Three years ago, REFISHED opted for Shopify, and that changed a lot! Suddenly everything was much easier for them, it was possible to process orders faster and customise the website flexibly.

‘We are big Shopify fans. The system saves us a lot of time and makes many processes much easier. What's particularly practical is that we can integrate various apps that complement exactly what we need,’ says the team. Without complicated IT solutions or expensive customised products, the online shop runs smoothly and the team can concentrate on what really matters: producing sustainable bags.

A functioning online shop is one thing - but when it comes to shipping, things can quickly become complicated. Packing parcels, printing labels, tracking shipments - all this takes time and nerves. That's why REFISHED works with Quivo, which simplifies the entire fulfilment process.

Thanks to the direct connection to Shopify, orders are automatically synchronised and shipping labels are created without any manual intermediate steps. This reduces errors, saves time and ensures that orders reach customers faster. This pays off, especially when shipping to Germany: The entire process remains very cost-efficient due to great conditions and optimised shipping routes.

REFISHED does things differently - without wasting new resources, without fast fashion, without compromising on functionality and design. Fashion is created here from materials that still have a lot to offer. Because throwing away is not the answer!

And it doesn't stop there. REFISHED is constantly evolving, finding new ways to save materials and make sustainable bags accessible to even more people. Because change doesn't happen on its own. It starts when someone decides to simply do things differently - and that's exactly what REFISHED has been doing successfully since 2013. Sustainability is not a trend here, but a clear way forward.
