The vision: building bridges in the coffee world

Luc Hubeli, Head of Impact at Coffee Annan, explains the company's clear vision: to roast the coffee where it grows and thus distribute the profits more fairly along the value chain. ‘For me, social impact is the most important thing.’

Coffee Annan connects companies with African coffee producers and favours transparency and direct cooperation, which leads to fair conditions for everyone in the coffee chain. ‘The biggest challenge was undoubtedly building the network and developing the infrastructure on the ground,’ he says. As interest in sustainably produced coffee grew, so did the need for a smooth and scalable logistics solution.

All order data from the online channels is automatically fed into Billbee via an API and forwarded to the warehouse. Orders from alternative channels can also be easily managed via Billbee, which further increases efficiency.

‘The automation in Billbee enables us to communicate quickly and smoothly - all information is automatically sent to where we need it,’ explains Maya Schwarz, Head of Operations at Coffee Annan. This solution not only speeds up communication with the warehouse, but also supports the creation of invoices and quotations as well as warehouse and inventory management. Always up-to-date inventory data gives the Coffee Annan team full control over their product stocks and enables them to work with foresight.

‘The technical connection to Billbee and the fulfillment were closely supervised. The user interface is very easy to use.
