The Beginnings In Bali

Ticket to the Moon was founded in 1996 in Bali and remains deeply connected to the island. The very first hammock was sewn there in a small workshop that later grew into the company’s own manufacturing facility. From the very beginning, the goal was for the products to offer more than practical use, carrying a sense of freedom, lightness and the spirit of the island itself.

The brand quickly resonated with people who love being on the move and finding peace outdoors. This sense of adventure, combined with a strong commitment to quality, turned a single handmade hammock into a complete product range. Today, outdoor enthusiasts and travellers around the world choose Ticket to the Moon for the reliable comfort the products truly deliver.

Fairness And Craft As The Foundation

Ticket to the Moon chose its own path early on. Instead of relying on mass production, the team wanted to keep full control over every step of the process, and that approach is still clearly reflected in the way the company works today. All products are made in the company’s own Fair Trade certified manufacturing facility in Bali, where craftsmanship, experience and precision take centre stage.

The work is guided by clear principles. Creating good working conditions, ensuring fair pay and valuing the people who make the products are essential. Many team members have been part of the company for years because they have found an environment built on stability and appreciation. For this reason, profit sharing for all employees is firmly anchored in the company culture. A strong team should feel that everyone makes a meaningful contribution to success.

This commitment is also visible in product development. Materials are carefully selected to ensure long life and dependable performance outdoors. Quality grows from years of experience, high grade fabrics and a responsible approach to the environment. This is what defines the identity of Ticket to the Moon, and why the company naturally offers warranties of up to ten years on many of its products.

The Turning Point In Logistics

For a long time, logistics was an area that demanded a great deal of time and energy at Ticket to the Moon. As the product range continued to grow, strong fluctuations between peak and off season made it difficult to keep operations running smoothly in house. During busy periods the team quickly reached its limits, while in quieter phases capacity often went unused. At the same time, the need for clearer structures and more reliable shipping became increasingly important.

That is where Quivo came in with the support that was needed. The connection to the Odoo shop system runs smoothly and directly, orders are transferred automatically and stock levels remain accurate at all times. Processes became easier to manage and the entire logistics operation more effective. Fast delivery times across Europe of one to two days with strong, competitive conditions, together with simple communication, have noticeably eased the team’s workload and given the company a real advantage.

Another major benefit has been the significant increase in storage capacity since outsourcing. Ticket to the Moon can now store around six times more stock than before, without having to expand its own infrastructure. This creates breathing space and stability, especially during periods of high demand.

Florian Managing director

"Our delivery times across Europe have generally settled at one to two working days, which our customers truly appreciate. At the same time, we benefit from very competitive shipping conditions, which is a decisive advantage in many of our international markets."

Quality From In House Production

Over the years, Ticket to the Moon’s range has grown into a diverse selection of hammocks, bags and lightweight outdoor accessories. Every product idea is developed in close connection with the company’s own manufacturing facility in Bali, where all items are produced. Having production on site is a central part of the brand and allows the team to keep a close eye on quality and workmanship.

More than three hundred people work at the production site, many of whom have been with the company for many years. Each item goes through several careful stages before leaving the factory. A strong focus is placed on durable materials, ensuring the outdoor products remain reliable even with frequent use, which is exactly what the designs are built for.

What The Future Holds

Ticket to the Moon looks back on almost three decades of company history and is preparing for a special milestone. In 2026, the company will celebrate its thirtieth anniversary. To mark the occasion, a Heritage Collection and a limited collaboration with the Indonesian artist Lampurio will be released. The collection brings together the brand’s roots with new creative ideas and highlights the long tradition of production in Bali.

In addition, a monthly giveaway is planned, giving customers the chance to win a set they can design individually. The main prize is a trip to Bali, including a visit to the manufacturing facility and a personal look behind the scenes.

The coming years will also focus on continued development and an even closer connection with the people who use the wide range of products. Ticket to the Moon will remain true to this vision and continue to build on lasting values, which we at Quivo are proud to support through our long standing partnership.
