It All Started With a Digital Frame

What now catches the eye in co-working spaces, gyms or hotels as a modern screen solution began with a very different idea. A digital photo frame. That is also where the company name comes from. With a Kickstarter campaign in 2018, FRAMEN laid its foundation in Frankfurt and quickly realised that there was much more potential.

The original product evolved into a software platform designed to place and deliver advertising in a more targeted and effective way. While the idea itself was not new, the need for a fresh and modern approach was huge. Instead of traditional outdoor posters, the goal was to create a system that brings content directly to where it matters. Reaching people in the middle of their day, whether they are working out, waiting or at work.

Step by Step Towards a Global Platform

The company grew quickly. Its headquarters moved to Berlin, with new teams established in Paris, London, Amsterdam and Mumbai. The idea attracted not only advertisers but also major backing from Axel Springer. With this media group on board, the expansion of the advertising platform gained significant momentum.

FRAMEN continued to develop into a scalable solution for a wide range of use cases. Today, content runs across thousands of screens through the Ads Manager. Large campaigns, local messages, sports content or news updates are all managed through the same software. In technical terms, FRAMEN is a DOOH platform, which means it delivers digital out of home content to public spaces.
