“Our aim is to design modern, stylish and sustainable street couture - with great attention to detail,” says Melanie, describing Baron Filou's mission.
Founded in 2019, the Austrian company pursues the idea of combining youthful designs with sustainable production methods. With a team of ten creative minds, Baron Filou now sells to over 40 countries worldwide and is represented in more than 400 retail shops.
“The beginning was a real challenge,” Melanie recalls. The search for producers who work in an environmentally friendly and fair way proved to be difficult. At the same time, Baron Filou had to assert itself in a highly competitive market dominated by fast, often environmentally harmful fashion trends. However, the team remained true to its vision and consistently focussed on sustainable production and creative designs.
Conquering the market with unique designs
A turning point for Baron Filou was the launch of the first collection, which was immediately well received and established the brand as a pioneer in street couture.
“Another milestone was the relocation of our production to Portugal, where we produce under fair working conditions and with sustainable methods,” says Melanie. These steps emphasise the company's commitment to reshaping the fashion industry in a responsible way.
Logistics as a success factor
With increasing success, Baron Filou decided to outsource its logistics in order to focus on its core business. “Our collaboration with Quivo has helped us to make our logistics processes more efficient and environmentally friendly,” explains Melanie.
